K.C Funeral Service in Darwen was set up by Emma in memory of her father, Kevin Childerley, who was sadly murdered in 1990 when she was just 5 years old.
Emma wants to keep his memory alive by helping local people through providing affordable funerals, wake planning, pre-paid funeral plans, will writing, bereavement support, flower arrangement, and memorial jewellery.
Emma is also able to provide alternative funerals for those who were less traditional in life.
Funerals are often unnecessarily expensive, leaving loved ones with the extra stress of finding thousands and thousands of pounds to pay for the funeral.

"Guardian Angel Part one and Part Two"
"From October 28th 2019-November 20th 2019 I spent time with Emma at K.C Funerals. In the space of 5 days I lost both my parents to suicide, unbeknownst to me, Emma had never dealt with a death in these circumstances before never mind two. I could never imagine now someone caring for them other than her.
The way in which she conducted herself and her business was second to none. I will never be able to thank her for the care and attention she gave to both my parents regardless of circumstances, they were treated with dignity and compassion as individuals.
In the month I spent with her, Emma became part of our family and a friend for life. She was there to guide me in my decisions that made both funerals unique and individual to both my mum and dad.
She encouraged me to be an active participant in the planning, no request of mine was too large.
Unfortunately I was unable to help as much in planning the second funeral, Emma made every effort to ensure the service would still be something both I and my parents would be proud of when I was unable.
Emma adds the little personal touches that makes KC funerals so special; handprints in birthday cards my parents had missed honestly made some of the darkest days of my life the littlest bit lighter.
After spending nearly every day with Emma, sometimes at the sacrifice of her own family so I could spend the final days with mine, I can honestly say I would never and will never recommend anyone else. Emma is a truly special individual, a guardian angel in my darkest days.
